Painted in oil or acrylic paint, all George Boonstra paintings have two aspects in common: the thick layers of paint that add structure and substance to the composition and the balanced relationship among the individual elements on the canvas. No matter how bold and wild these paintings may appear at first glance, there is always a zen-like underlying balance.
Alle George Boonstra schilderijen hebben twee aspecten gemeen: de dikke laag verf (acryl of olie) die de compositie structuur en substantie verlenen en de uitgebalanceerde onderlinge relatie tussen de diverse elementen op het canvas. Hoe dynamisch en onstuimig de schilderijen ook lijken bij een eerste aanblik, er is altijd een zen-achtige onderliggende balans.

Alas, the clip was made on an early digital camcorder that turned out to be on its last legs. The result is a 4:3 video with charismatic drop-outs. Nevertheless, the message should still come across nicely.
